Embark on a 90-minute bus journey from Tromsø to the pristine wilderness of Camp Tamok. As you approach the camp, the surroundings become enveloped in darkness, far away from the city lights. Situated in a drier climate zone with clear inland mountain weather, Camp Tamok benefits from this dry climate, offering numerous cloud-free night skies during winter. Prepare to be immersed in the tranquil and starry expanse of the Arctic night at Camp Tamok.
For own car - option, please see below the different meeting place and time.
Upon your arrival, we'll equip you with warm winter clothing and provide a presentation about the Aurora Borealis, including guidance on how to capture it through photography. Depending on weather conditions, we'll guide you to various locations around the camp (by foot) where you can observe the Northern Lights. Once it's time to warm up, indulge in a hot meal served around an open fire inside a traditional reindeer herder’s tent.
After a relaxing and warming experience, it's time to board the bus again for a return journey to the city center of Tromsø. Cherish the memories of your Northern Lights adventure at Camp Tamok.
