Differing from other fjords, Ramfjord receives a substantial influx of freshwater from various rivers and creeks, reducing its salinity and leading to significant freezing during winter.
After departing Ramfjord, our cruise proceeds past the mountains of Malangen, crossing Ristraumen en route to the island of Kvaløya.
Onboard, you have the option to purchase beverages and food. Warm, indoor lounges with panoramic windows offer splendid views of the awe-inspiring coastal scenery of Arctic Norway.
For a significant portion of the trip, we'll utilize our electric engine, allowing you to immerse yourself in the sights in silence and serenity.
Upon reaching Kvaløya, we'll dock the boat and visit a local fishing facility, delving into the pivotal role the fishing industry has played and continues to play in the history of Northern Norway. Discover how it has shaped the culture and family life in the Arctic, and savor a taste of our local products.
Throughout the tour, our guide and captain will be on the lookout for wildlife, from reindeer to white-tailed eagles and other birds. If weather conditions permit, we might deploy our underwater drone into the fjord, offering you a live view (on screens) of the marine life beneath the surface.
